Princess Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, and revealed the name Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi in honour of the late
Newborn baby Athena now joins an informal club of Royal Family members, all with the middle name Elizabeth – in a sweet nod to the late Majesty.
1. Anne Elizabeth Alice Louise
Queen Elizabeth II and the late Prince Philip named their only daughter . Princess Anne is also known as the Princess Royal, and was bestowed with the title in June 1987, a name she will now keep for the rest of her life.
2. Zara Anne Elizabeth
Princess Anne and her first husband, Captain Mark Phillips, named their daughter . She now goes by her married last name, Tindall, after marrying the ex-England Ruby Union star, Mike Tindall, on July 30, 2011.

3. Beatrice Elizabeth Mary
New mum to Athena Elizabeth, ‘s full name is Beatrice Elizabeth Mary. Reportedly, and Fergie had their hearts set on the name ‘Annabel’, however, the late Queen disliked the name and found it “too yuppie”.
4. Louise Alice Elizabeth Mary
The late Queen’s youngest son, Prince Edward and his wife Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, named their daughter . The 16th in line for the throne is reportedly set to make history as the first female royal to serve in the military since her grandmother.
5. Isla Elizabeth
Princess Anne’s son Peter Phillips and his then-wife Autumn Kelly named their younger daughter . The pair separated in 2019 and their divorce was settled in June 2021.

6. Lena Elizabeth Tindall
Zara and her husband named their second daughter , celebrating the Queen. Lena was born to Princess Anne’s daughter Zara and her husband Mike Tindall on June 18, 2018.
7. Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi
and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi named their first baby girl , sister to Athena. Both Sienna and Athena share the same middle name, which pays homage to Beatrice’s late grandmother, the late Queen Elizabeth II.
8. Charlotte Elizabeth Diana
The only daughter of the Prince and Princess of Wales’s full name is . It is thought that Charlotte’s first name honours her grandfather, King Charles, and middle names, Elizabeth and Diana, pay homage to Queen Elizabeth and William’s mother Princess Diana.
9. Lilibet Diana Sussex
Different from her royal relatives, . Lilibet has been the Queen’s nickname among family since her childhood. The nickname was coined when then-Princess Elizabeth was just a toddler and couldn’t pronounce her own name properly. Her grandfather King George V would affectionately call her Lilibet, imitating her attempts to say her name. It stuck and came to be used by close relatives.
