and Eugenie are currently non-working members of the Royal Family, for themselves and are not benefiting from taxpayer-funded security.

Speculation has arisen on whether the two would ever become working royals, following the cancer diagnoses of King Charles and Princess Kate last year.

Despite having their own careers, the royals still occasionally attend events on behalf of the King, leading to speculation about their increasing role within the firm.

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told that he doesn’t think the sisters will become working members. In a six-worded statement, he said: “I can’t see them doing more.” He added: “It could change.”

The leading commentator also thinks that part of the reason is because of the public “toxic theme” surrounding their father.

stepped down from royal duties in 2019 and has kept a low public profile with Emily Maitlis in which he discussed his friendship with the late convicted paedophile, Jeffery Epstein.

Mr Fitzwilliams said: “The problem is the York brand has a toxic theme.”

He explained how the sisters are unable to distance themselves from their father, however, they “have their own jobs” and are “happily married”.

He further added: “So in different circumstances, if Andrew were still a working royal, then most certainly I would have thought Beatrice and Eugenie could have done more.”
