The ‘s hilarious three-word remark when she met a Guide Dog at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday have been revealed.
The golden retriever captured the attention of Charles who affectionately petted the well-behaved dog who has fast become a star in Westminster, amassing almost 20,000 followers on X under the handle ‘rthonjennie’.
Chatting to its owner, Liberal Democrat MP Steve Darling who is registered blind, the King said “these wonderful dogs,” as he scratched Jennie on the head and asked: “She knows her way round the house does she?”
The MP for Torbay replied “she knows the best place to go for sausages,” prompting the King to point and laugh. He then asked: “Is the food there not too bad?”
“For her it’s her favourite,” Mr Darling said.

Duchess Sophie, who has been the patron of Guide Dogs since 2021, also made a beeline for the dog and told her: “I’m your patron.”
Sophie also said: “Clearly she thinks there is something way more interesting over here”
“She’s ambidextrous,” Sophie said, as the dog kept changing which paw to give her.
The MP tells her that the charity makes a real difference, saying: “It gives me the confidence to be able to go out on my own.”

Fans were delighted to see Sophie’s interaction with Jennie
Sophie, who is mum to 21-year-old Lady Louise Windsor and 17-year-old James, Earl of Wessex, is known for her love of dogs.
Sophie and Prince Edward have three dogs of their own, a Cocker Spaniel named Mole and two black Labradors, named Teal and Teasel.
After seeing Sophie’s affection towards Jennie, fans took to social media to share their thoughts. One fan wrote: “The Duchess always notices dogs from a great distance heheh. Always a lovely combination, her and these sweeties.”
