Even if Napoli do withdraw from the race, United are not out of the woods yet. have shown a willingness to splash significant amounts of cash in recent years, and the opportunity to sign a top young talent like Garnacho could prove too tempting to pass up.
The 20-year-old has put up disappointing numbers this season, and United boss does not consider him a guaranteed starter. That being said, Amorim has made it clear that he would rather the Red Devils’ transfer chiefs did not sell their top youngsters so early in his reign.
“I’m happy to have Garnacho here,” he told . “He’s improving a lot. He’s a young, talented guy. You want to work with these guys with talent. That’s what drives the coaches to improve the team; to have these kind of players that you know they are going to improve a lot.
