Booking a for a holiday is the most crucial step, as it can either help you save money or could push the budget up. 

And now experts have shared a tiny hack that can help in saving lots of money while booking a flight, reports . 

According from the experts from Expedia, booking a flight on a Sunday can help you save more money on your holidays. 

The experts found that travellers booking on a Sunday can save up to 21 percent on domestic flights compared to Mondays and up to 22 percent on international flights compared to Fridays.

Not only that but even deciding on the day of your flight can also help in bringing the cost down, the experts suggested.

According to the experts, flying out of the country on a Friday instead of a Sunday can save up to 14 percent.

Saturday is the most affordable day for domestic travel within the UK.

Flights on Saturdays are typically 18 percent cheaper compared to Mondays, likely because Monday is a popular day for business travel, driving up demand and prices, whereas Saturday sees lower demand.

While booking in advance generally leads to lower costs, there is an optimal booking window to get the best deals. 

Booking in advance can save you money, but the optimal time to secure the best deals is typically 13 to 21 days before your planned departure.

For international flights, this period is referred to as the “magic window,” as tickets during this time cost 8% less than booking two months in advance. Airlines may adjust fares during this period to fill the remaining seats.

For domestic flights, booking even further in advance, 170 to 180 days before departure, is most cost-effective.
