Being named to People’s “Sexiest Man Alive” list is considered an honor by many, and now Reese Witherspoon is throwing her weight behind the magazine’s next honoree.

On Tuesday, while talking with People at the premiere of her movie “You’re Cordially Invited,” Witherspoon was joined by her costar Will Ferrell — and together, they jokingly resurrected his bid for the coveted title.

“Again. I mean, I missed out last year,” Ferrell lamented.

Ferrell had launched his Sexiest Man Alive campaign during an appearance on “Today,” a fact he remembered when he returned to the show on Tuesday, where he was reminded that People’s 2024 title went to actor John Krasinski.

“I don’t get it,” he said.

During the segment, he confessed to receiving “zero votes” with the sort of humility one might expect from a person who had probably already prepared an acceptance speech.

But Witherspoon offered nothing but unwavering support for her costar’s bid.

“I mean, who else would it be? I can’t think of anybody,” the “Wrinkle In Time” actor told People.

Ferrell admitted to the outlet that the notion of winning was “kind of floated out there” and that “people were slightly indoctrinated” about the idea of him claiming the top spot.

In the spirit of teamwork, the two actors urged People to “hard launch” Ferrell’s bid and make it a reality.

As for Ferrell’s campaign strategy, the “Superstar” actor gave “Today” an inside look.

“I think I may need to do a preemptive photo shoot,” he said, quipping that “paying for some billboards” might also be in the cards.
