Popular chocolate bar set to return to shelves after being discontinued

Fans of a beloved chocolate bar were left devastated when they were discontinued back in 2022 – but now, it’s been revealed that they will be returning to shop .

Milky Way Crispy Rolls were hugely popular, so when they were scrapped, fans were quick to share their disappointment on social media.

One emotional tweet summed up the nation’s mood perfectly: “Woke up to see apparently Crispy Rolls have been discontinued??! Week ruined nobody talk to me”.

Three years later, nostalgic fans continued to rally for a comeback, with one Change.org petition amassing over 8,600 signatures.

Mars Wrigley have now announced that they’ll be returning to shop shelves, along with some exciting new flavours to try.

The news was announced via a series of crypic billboards which showcased historical posts from disappointed fans, leading to rumours swirling around online about their possible return.

The truth is now out – the billboard campaign was all part of Mars Wrigley’s exciting announcement, the triumphant return of the fan-favourite Milky Way Crispy Rolls to UK shelves on Februray 1.

As well as the classic variety, shoppers will also be able to try two new choices, Twix Crispy Rolls and Bounty Crispy Rolls.

One retailer said to be stocking the treats from February 4 is , where shoppers can pick them up for 50p each or three for £1.20.

Posting on to the delight of fans, the budget supermarket said: “THIS IS NOT A DRILL! Your favourite Milkyway Crispy Rolls are BACK! and they’ve brought us TWO EXTRA ADDITIONS!”

Fans were quick to show their excitement, with one saying: “2025 is looking up!”

Another wrote: “I’m going to buy them all and no one can stop me.”

However, fans won’t have long to snap them up – an Iceland spokesperson confirmed that they will only be available for one week.

Despite being officially discontinued in 2022, shoppers have occasionally spotted them since then in stores such as B&M and Poundland.

A spokesperson for Mars Wrigley commented: We don’t shy away from our mistakes at Mars. We wanted to show that the people had spoken, and we had listened! This is a fan favourite, so we’re celebrating by introducing two new flavours as well.

“This is all about you – our fans – eating and enjoying life’s simple pleasures; Crispy Rolls!”
