John Sugden’s actions in Emmerdale are raising eyebrows after Aaron Dingle was implicated in the murder of Anthony Fox last week. The deadly scene kicked-off following Aaron’s (Danny Miller) discovery of the abuse inflicted on Ruby (Beth Cordingly) by her father, Anthony (Nicholas Day), which led Aaron to give Anthony a near-fatal beating.
In a chilling move, John (played by Oliver Farnworth) calmly disposed of Anthony’s body from Caleb’s (William Ash) depot and also got rid of Anthony’s car outside The Woolpack.
With Cain (Jeff Hordley) temporarily shutting down the garage, Aaron and John seized the chance to dismantle the vehicle under the cover of night.
Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker), however, heard unsettling noises and became wary, ultimately deciding to inform PC Swirling about her concerns.
On Wednesday (January 29), unfolding events saw Manpreet encountering Aaron and John by the garage, further fueling her suspicions.

Her sense of civic duty compelled her to approach PC Swirling with her worries, confessing: “I’m glad I’ve caught you. I just wanted to run something by you, if you don’t mind?”, before expressing her reluctance as she reported: “It’s nothing I just feel a bit of a busybody mentioning it to be honest, but there’s been some late night noises coming from the garage.”
Looking unamused, Swirling retorted: “Late night noises, like what?”, to which Manpreet elaborated: “Like banging and sawing, general garage noises, but it’s not so much what they are, but when they happen.”
Swirling suggested that Manpreet should have a word with garage owner Cain instead of lodging an anonymous complaint with the police, reports .

The plot thickened later in the episode as John dismissed Aaron’s concerns over Anthony’s passing, refusing to reveal the location of his final resting place.
However, eagle-eyed viewers are convinced John will target Manpreet for snooping too close to their ‘odd’ antics. Flocking to social media, one user opined: “Has Manpreet got a death wish?! Grass!! #.”
Another concurred: “Manpreet is being a grass, psycho John won’t be happy if he finds out. #.”
