‘I attended the Strictly live tour and it was right for Wynne Evans to step back’

The Welsh star’s announcement came after he apologised for making an “inappropriate and unacceptable” comment, as reported by The Mail on Sunday. It was alleged that he made an inappropriate sexual remark during a group photo for the tour’s launch.

Ticket holders who had been eagerly anticipating the tour for months were left feeling “gutted”, as Wynne had been one of their “favourites” on the show – but many attendees agreed that stepping down was “the right thing to do” given the circumstances.

Fans were interviewed outside the Liverpool arena as they left the event, having not known beforehand that Wynne would not be part of the line-up, reports .
