The 47-year-old made history as the show’s first ever blind contestant and lifted the glitterball trophy with his professional partner .
Speaking exclusively to Channel 4 star Jean said: “I cried when he won. I just thought, for so many people who are sat at home with limiting thoughts and thinking they can’t do this and they can’t do that, I think it just broke that down with one win for so many people.
“And that’s what I love about British telly. You still get those moments where the whole nation is kind of sat there, and something amazing happens, like Chris winning, Strictly, it was just gorgeous.”
Jean also confessed she would love to be a part of the line up for the 2025 show when it returns in the autumn and she knows exactly which pro partner she would like.

“No one talks about it, but every presenter wants to do these shows. There are very few people that get the phone call and say, no.
“All I can do is… just hope that that phone call comes in for you. There’s not really any way to pursue those things. They kind of have to come to you. So Strictly, I’m A Celebrity, Celebrity SAS, Bake Off…whatever comes my way this year.
“I’m really, really open to just doing things that are fun and that you can sort of show a bit more of my personality as well,” she said.
“I manifest a bit when I make my intentions at the beginning of every year. I would like to be on she said.

“I would like to dance with Johannes – that is not a secret. So I will be manifesting that again (this year),” she laughed.
“He just jumps off the screen and just seems so lovely and nice and kind. And I just think we could get on so, so well, so one day our paths will cross, hopefully.”
Thankfully for Jean, Johannes has confirmed he is staying with the show after rumours emerged he was quitting to focus on his work outside the show – including his upcoming role in the stage musical Kinky Boots.
He took to last November to . “I’m not going nowhere! The story isn’t true – I love Strictly and I want to do this beautiful show for as long as they want me – and the body will allow. I have Kinky Boots and other work in the pipeline yes but nothing will take me away,” he wrote.
