Two arrested in hotel stabbing in Prince George

One man was stabbed at a hotel in Prince George Tuesday by a woman he knew, RCMP said Wednesday.

Both were arrested.

RCMP were called out at around 7:30 p.m. to the hotel in the 2900-block of Recplace Drive.

When they arrived, officers found one man suffering from non-lethal stab wounds. Investigators say he did not co-operate with police and was arrested.

The woman tried to run from police officers on foot, according to RCMP, and was arrested outside of the hotel.

Police seek witnesses to indecent acts in Prince George

Mounties in Prince George are investigating after a man twice exposed his genitalia in public, once on a bus and again in a movie theatre.

On Jan. 13, at about 11:30 a.m., a man exposed himself on a city transit bus to a young woman who was sitting in an empty section of the bus, according to RCMP.

Investigators say she left the bus quickly and reported the incident to police.

The second instance occurred later that day around 4 p.m., when police allege the same man exposed himself while in a movie theatre. The man was removed from the theatre by staff.

Police officers are asking anyone who experienced something similar to contact Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300.

The man is described by police as heavier set, Indigenous and in his mid-30s to 40s with short dark hair. On the day these incidents took place, he was wearing a black and camouflage jacket and grey camouflage pants.

Police in Kelowna targets drug traffickers

A joint police operation in Kelowna targeting the local drug trade has led to the seizure of “a substantial amount of illicit drugs and weapons,” RCMP said Wednesday.

On Friday, officers arrested nearly 30 people for various offences related to trafficking illicit drugs.

This project resulted in the seizure of approximately 450 grams of various illicit drugs and an undisclosed number of weapons, RCMP said.

“I commend all these units who worked seamlessly together to deliver these results and send a message to those who are only adding to the opioid crisis,” said RCMP Sgt. Scott Powrie of Kelowna’s Crime Reduction Unit.

One person arrested in drug trafficking raid in Fort St. John

One person was arrested following a drug trafficking raid in Fort St. John two weeks ago.

On Jan. 17, officers attended the 8900-block of 77th Street after they noticed traffic “consistent with drug trafficking.”

One person was located inside the residence and arrested. Firearms along with evidence to support drug trafficking were also located.

The suspect was later released. The RCMP will recommend drug trafficking and firearm charges.
