failed to show at a dinner to celebate his birthday just hours before the news was announced.
The opera singer turned 53 on January 27 and the pro dancers and celebrities on the tour planned to help him celebrate with a fancy dinner at Gaucho in Liverpool.
However, Wynne was reportedly a no show and just hours later it came to light he had been let go from the show. His co-stars, including , and went ahead with the meal in his absence.
“The gang were keen to do something for Wynne’s birthday because he’s had a hard time. They organised a cake for him and everything, but he didn’t show up.
“Everyone had a great time anyway but it was really sad he didn’t join them, but now they know he has been axed, it all makes sense,” a source told .

The star of the Go Compare adverts has publicly apologised for his comment, saying: “My language was inappropriate and unacceptable for which I sincerely apologise.”
Initially he was simply slapped with a warning by bosses, with a spokesperson for the broadcaster confirming they “do not tolerate such behaviour”.
However, he is now reportedly being axed from the Strictly live tour altogether. Wynne already agreed to after the remark.
A spokesperson for the station confirmed: “Wynne is taking some time off from his show on Radio Wales. Robin Morgan will be presenting in his place.”
