The forward was once again left at home as the Red Devils beat Fulham over the weekend, with his future at Old Trafford still up in the air.

A number of top clubs, including the likes of Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund, have been tipped to move for Rashford before the window closes. However, his hopes of securing an exit may have been dashed by Amorim’s latest comments.

When asked why he keeps leaving Rashford out of the side, Amorim claimed that ahead of somebody who ‘does not give the maximum every day’.

Statements like that will hardly help INEOS to find a new club for Rashford, given the contempt in which he is clearly held by his manager. Potential suitors might be more likely to view a move for the forward as a risk not worth taking.

It seems clear there will be no way back for him at United, with Amorim showing no sign of backing down any time soon. However, with a potential exit yet to materialise, there is every chance that Rashford will be left in no-man’s land for the rest of the season.

This would be a nightmare scenario for United as they would need to keep paying his £350,000-per-week salary until at least the end of the campaign.

It remains to be seen if a solution will be found, with the Red Devils running out of time to resolve the situation before it is too late.

Rashford could yet be offered a lifeline by former United boss Jose Mourinho, . According to , a number of clubs in Turkey are weighing up the possibility of signing him on loan.

Fenerbahce and Galatasaray are said to be the biggest players, but it will be interesting to see if Besiktas emerge as another option. They recently appointed , leading to speculation that he could look to sign Rashford or Casemiro.
