Netflix viewers just love a recently added ‘flawless’ film that some claim ‘put other boxing movies to shame’.
Shortly after its addition to the platform, the movie has already become one of the most viewed.
At present, Big George Foreman holds the number two spot in the top ten films in the UK, only surpassed by the newly released title Back In Action featuring Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz.

Driven by a childhood marked by poverty, Foreman channelled his rage into becoming an Olympic Gold medallist and World Heavyweight Champion, before a near-death experience led him from the ring to the pulpit in a religious awakening.
However, when his community begins to face spiritual and financial hardships, Foreman steps back into the ring, vowing to reclaim his title, despite the fact it would mean becoming the oldest and most unlikely World Heavyweight Boxing Champion in history.
Initially hitting the big screens in 2023, the film was helmed by George Tillman Jr. , renowned for previous projects such as Faster, The Hate U Give, and Notorious, .
Khris Davis assumes the formidable role of Foreman, building on his roles in Detroit and Judas and the Black Messiah. He is joined by Oscar winner Forest Whitaker, who portrays Foreman’s coach and mentor Doc Broadus.

Since the movie debuted in cinemas, it has garnered heaps of acclaim, and its recent addition to is attracting an even larger audience. Viewers are lauding the blend of an empowered true story with a heartening message within the film.
One fan , reflecting on the film online, voiced: “An absolute blinder of a film that tries to capture the even more incredible life journey of one of the greatest boxing fighters. Here is a true story of a boxer who instead of basing his life on hate, turned to Christian faith and chose to channel it into a competitive sport in which you need not come away with rage.”
They added that it makes for a more significant biopic than those of fellow boxing legends like Muhammad Ali or Mike Tyson, explaining: “His personal life story of his other ventures, his family, his church and the way he managed it shows a more compelling biography than the Tysons and Alis of the world who are more about brash flamboyance mostly. Foreman actually began to change society and mindsets especially among young black boys. Great champ, great story, great movie.”

Even someone previously only familiar with Foreman because of his grilling products confessed that the movie “brought so much tears to my eyes.”
