‘Moana 2’ now available to watch home. Here’s how

“Moana 2” was one of 2024’s biggest hits at the boxoffice — and now you can watch the family-friendly animated adventure at home.

The blockbuster Disney sequel, which features the voices of Auli’i Cravalho as Moana and Dwayne Johnson as Maui, became available on digital streaming platforms including Prime Video, Apple TV and Fandango at Home on Jan. 28.

The movie doesn’t yet have a premiere date for streaming on Disney+ or any other subscription streaming services.

Directed by David G. Derrick Jr, Jason Hand and Dana Ledoux Miller, “Moana 2” is set three years after the events of 2016’s “Moana.” The movie continues following the adventures of the young voyager Moana, who now sails to the lost island of Motufetu in order to break a curse and bring peace to her people.

Is “Moana 2” still in theaters?

“Moana 2” premiered in theaters in November 2024. Along with “Wicked,” the movie helped lead a major box office resurgence, and has grossed more than $1 billion at the global box office, according to Deadline.

The movie, which stars Auli’i Cravalho as Moana, Dwayne Johnson as Maui, and Nicole Scherzinger as Sina, is still playing in theaters across the United States.

How to stream “Moana 2”

On Jan. 28, “Moana 2” became available on several digital platforms including Prime Video, Apple TV and Fandango at Home.

The movie will also be released in physical form on DVD and Blu-Ray, including a 4K edition, on March 18, according to People.
