Melania Trump’s official White House First Lady portrait unveiled and it’s very different

First Lady has revealed her official White House portrait for President ‘s second term – and it’s very different to previous First Ladies’ pictures. , it is customary for both the President and their spouse to have an official portrait.

President Trump, 78, and his wife Melania, 54, had individual portraits for his first term in office, which spanned from 2017 to 2021. Following his inauguration a week ago for his second term, Melania has now unveiled her new portrait.

The black-and-white image, released on Monday, was taken by photographer Régine Mahaux in the Yellow Oval Room of the residence in Washington, D. C.

The portrait shows Melania dressed in a black suit, consisting of a black jacket and matching trousers, paired with a white shirt. The former model is seen with her hands resting on a table in a power stance, as she stares directly into the camera with a fierce gaze.

A large glass window behind her offers views of the capital city, with the Washington Monument visible in the background. The choice of a black-and-white portrait contrasts with recent past portraits, which have typically been in colour, reports .

Melania also chose a black outfit for her previous portrait, unlike predecessor Michelle Obama and successor Jill Biden, who both opted for blue outfits for their respective portraits.

‘s latest portrait release follows her eye-catching outfit choice for President Trump’s inauguration last week. The First Lady was seen at the capital city event, standing by her husband’s side in a long navy coat by designer Adam Lippes.

Underneath, she reportedly wore a skirt and ivory blouse. Melania accessorised with a hat, believed to be by designer Eric Javits, and black gloves.

Her fashion choice received positive feedback from fans. However, this wasn’t the only outfit that made headlines.

Melania later changed into a strapless white silk gown with black silk bands for the Commander-in-Chief Ball. She completed the look with a black ribbon choker adorned with a diamond flower brooch.
