The new series, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, features an Oscar-nominated actor and a returning Marvel star among its cast. The latest addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe is set in a parallel timeline where Norman Osborn (played by Colman Domingo), also known as the Green Goblin, mentors Peter Parker (portrayed by Hudson Thames) instead of Tony Stark.
The animation style of this Disney+ show is inspired by the classic Spider-Man comics, with the trailer even paying tribute to the original 1967 Spider-Man theme. The series introduces Peter Parker in a variety of new special suits and characters distinct from the main MCU.

Hudson Thames takes on the role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man, a high school student exploring his powers and creating new suits.
This animated series presents Peter’s story in a timeline separate from the main Marvel Cinematic Universe and prior to the events of Captain America: Civil War. Thames is an actor and composer recognised for his roles in Mad Men, I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson, and Malibu Country.
Colman Domingo as Norman Osborn
In the latest twist to the Spider-Man saga, Norman Osborn takes on a different role from the main MCU timeline, serving as Peter Parker’s mentor and “man in the chair”. However, unlike Tony Stark, series creator Jeff Trammell suggests that Osborn’s methods “may not turn out in everyone’s best interest”.
Colman Domingo, an actor celebrated for his Oscar-worthy performances in Rustin and Sing Sing, is also known for his captivating roles in Euphoria, Black Bottom, Zola, and Fear the Walking Dead.

Hugh Dancy as Otto Octavius
Hugh Dancy will voice the notorious Marvel villain Otto Octavius, whom Spider-Man will confront during his high school years. Dancy, an English actor, is known for his roles in Black Hawk Down, Hannibal, The Path, Elizabeth I, and Downton Abbey: A New Era.
Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock / Daredevil
Charlie Cox reprises his role as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, bringing the beloved character back into the Spider-Man universe.
Charlie Cox, famed for his portrayal of the blind lawyer with superhuman senses from Hell’s Kitchen who moonlights as a masked vigilante, is set to reprise his role as Matt Murdock/Daredevil.
Having previously appeared in Daredevil, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Echo and She-Hulk, he is now slated to headline his own revival series, Daredevil: Born Again. His other notable roles include Boardwalk Empire, Kin and Stardust.
