Amazon customers have largely fallen in love with this one, with 4.7 out of 5 stars averaged from 613 reviews so far. “This is the daddy of slow cookers,” raved one five-star review. “It’s so easy to use but is so versatile. We cooked a beef joint overnight on low and then made the gravy in the pot using the simmer function, and it was delicious. I would recommend to anyone. Great quality, well-made and excellent results.”

“This machine does everything: boils pasta and potatoes, makes beautiful stews, bakes cakes and finishes off dumplings with ease,” said another five-star write-up. “The braise function is awesome! Highly recommended.”

Another added: “I love the fact it’s a one-stop pot. Just add all ingredients, stir, leave to do its job, then on to slow cook to perfection. Easy to clean too. I thought it was a bit expensive at first but I think it’s worth it.”

There have been a few minor niggles raised, however. “I love it, but it is not made well,” said a three-star review. “The base has four little rubber feet and they come off very easily. I’ve lost one as it must have fallen off and been thrown away without anyone realising what it was. There is no reason they should fall off so easily and you cannot find replacements so it now wobbles and I need to place something underneath.”

Another noted: “Very, very short cable — wasn’t what I expected from Ninja. I’ll need to plug in an extension to use it.”

Elsewhere, the similarly-featured at Currys, so do check that out as well. If you only need something simple, the at Robert Dyas is another great buy.

But, for a massive range of features, Ninja’s hallmarks of quality, and all the bases covered that your trusty air fryer can’t manage, the is a steal at £119.99.
