The second season of The Night Agent is making waves on , with viewers eager to learn more about the new character Noor Taheri, portrayed by Arienne Mandi. Working at the United Nations in New York, she sought asylum for herself and her family by leaking intelligence.
Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso) and Rose Larkin (Luciane Buchanan) utilised Noor’s connections to infiltrate a party hosted by Javad (Keon Alexander), the head of security at the Iranian Mission. Along their journey, they discovered her aspirations to liberate her family and felt compassion for her.
Eventually, a hesitant Peter and Catherine Weaver (Amanda Warren) agreed to assist Noor, deploying resources to attempt to bring her family to the US. As Sami Saidi (Marwan Kenzari) went to retrieve them, Noor, Peter, Catherine, and Rose listened anxiously.
However, things took a tragic turn when Noor’s brother Farhad (Kiarash Amani) resisted, leading Sami to fatally shoot him. Initially, Peter concealed Farhad’s death from Noor, but the truth inevitably surfaced.
Despite this, Noor continued to aid Peter, granting him access to the UN building while he expressed deep regret for her brother’s premature demise. Meanwhile, Javad began suspecting Noor’s hidden agenda and her secret information leaks.

When her actions were exposed, her safety was jeopardised, but she managed to escape unharmed and survived till the end of the series.
In a promising turn of events, her mother safely reached the US and they were both granted asylum. She maintained contact with Rose, who had returned to her previous life before meeting Peter.
A strong friendship had developed between Noor and Rose. Arienne Mandi, an American actress known for her role as Dani Núñez in The L Word: Generation Q, portrays Noor.

She has also appeared as Leila Hosseini in the political thriller Tatami and viewers may recognise her as Franki Murray from Love, Classified. Born in California, she is of Chilean and Iranian descent and is fluent in Spanish, French, Persian and English.
She also has a famous cousin – American actress, singer and model Nazanin Mandi.
