Prince Harry’s pal has issued the biggest hint that the Sussex’s plan to spend more time in the UK by achieving one simple goal.

The King has not seen his US-based grandchildren, and , in over two years, it is believed.

Prince Archie was born in the UK while his parents, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, were still working royals. Princess Lilibet was born in the US, where the family have made their permanent home.

is believed to have met his granddaughter only once, when Harry, and the kids came over for Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022.

This could soon all change as wants his children to “know his home country”, but first the prince believes he must ensure his family’s safety.

A source close to Harry told : “He wants to ensure the safety of himself and his family while in the UK so his children can know his home country and so he can help support his patronages and their important work.”

The Duke of Sussex is now preparing his next legal battle which could prove decisive in mending his relationship with his father King Charles.

Harry’s lawyers will appeal a High Court judgement to downgrade his security provision in the UK when he famously quit the Firm in 2020.

Last February High Court judge Sir Peter Lane found that “any departure from policy was justified and that the decision was not irrational or marred by procedural unfairness”.

Harry is said to believe his father should intervene on his behalf to have his full protection reinstated, but sources close to the King have said it would be “wholly inappropriate” for him to challenge a Government decision.

“The next case is fundamentally important to him in terms of his family,” says a source close to Harry.

If Harry does decide to visit the UK it is unknown whether Meghan will accompany him. It has been widely reported that the Duchess “doesn’t feel safe” in the UK.

An insider has told New magazine: “It’s now got to the point where Meghan doesn’t want to come to the UK with the children. She just doesn’t feel safe.

“The situation is now about whether the family should attend with increased security or Harry should go it alone.”
