She describes Tuesday, November 8, 2016 as a ‘peaceful morning’ in New York, which gave her a chance to prepare for the day ahead.
It was then she stopped to check-in on teenager son Barron as he slept. Melania, 54, says it gave her a chance to appreciate the changes the family had gone through after her husband decided to launch his presidential campaign, reports .
In her memoir titled Melania, she reflects: “I love early, peaceful mornings – peace I would especially need in the coming hours. Barron was still asleep when I entered his room and gave him a gentle kiss on the forehead.
Melania Trump said she had a “realization” when she saw Barron sleeping on polling day.

“Taking an extra moment to look at him, knowing his world had already undergone so much transformation since his father’s decision to run for president, I realized this day would begin changes none of us could predict.
“I made a commitment then and there that if we were headed to the White House, I would fiercely protect my beautiful son in every way I could.”
Melania also praises Donald for dedicating his “pouring his heart and soul” to the campaign, which she describes as a “powerful force” that ultimately led to his triumph over Hillary Clinton.

Barron has given insight into life at the Trump family home.
Barron, 18, recently gave a rare insight into what it was like living with his famous father. A recent podcast hosted by Patrick Bet-David, Adam Sosnick, Tom Ellsworth, Vincent Oshana, and FOX News’ Jesse Watters, revealed some intriguing details about Barron’s family time.
The hosts had an opportunity to join the Trumps at their Mar-a-Lago estate, revealing some surprising insights into the family dynamics.
One host recounted: “[We were in the middle of talking] and all of a sudden music comes on so loud. We asked what it was and Barron said, ‘my dad’s the freakin’ DJ [in this house]’.”
“All you see is the president on his iPad, the lights on his face… Barron’s like, ‘I’ll be in my room and the house is shaking. My dad plays the music so loud.'”
The podcast team however said the teenager has a “good head on his shoulders.” They said Barron was a “professional” showing them around the home.
