Marcus Rashford was stung by Ruben Amorim after Man Utd’s win over Fulham
posted a five-word Instagram story shortly after receiving another public dig from manager .
Rashford, who has not played for his boyhood club since December 12, was not involved in the 1-0 win at on Sunday evening. And Amorim said after the game he would rather put 63-year-old goalkeeping coach Jorge Vital among the substitutes than a player who does not give their all in training.
“In training, in life, it’s every day, every detail,” “So if things don’t change, I will not change. I would put Vital on the bench before a player who doesn’t give the maximum.”
Amorim had initially been coy about his reasons for dropping Rashford in the early weeks of his tenure. But the manager is becoming increasingly open about the situation, and Sunday night’s comments were the most damning yet.
Many waited eagerly to see whether Rashford would respond. Soon after the game he did, but instead of ramping up his strained relationship with Amorim, he focused on sending a positive message to his team-mates. “Congratulations on the win lads,” .
United managed just one shot on target at Craven Cottage but still came away with maximum spoils after Lisandro Martinez’s 78th-minute strike from distance deflected in off Sasa Lukic.

That made it four victories in five games across all competitions, although Amorim’s side have been far from convincing. Many still have a close eye on United’s transfer dealings this month, with the club intent on signing a left wing-back and finding a new home for those deemed surplus to requirements.
Rashford is on the exit list but his options are dwindling as the deadline creeps closer. His representatives held talks with AC Milan, but their move for Kyle Walker has effectively ruled them out of contention due to rules around non-EU players.
Borussia Dortmund have been strongly linked with a loan deal, but Rashford’s astronomical wages have scuppered any recent progress and the Bundesliga side now look set to go without.
Clubs in the Saudi Pro League would reportedly be willing to be pay top dollar for Rashford, but the 27-year-old would rather try and revive his career closer to home.
Barcelona are still in the equation and it is understood Rashford would be willing to take a pay cut in order to join the La Liga giants. The Manchester-born forward has scored 138 goals in 426 games across 10 seasons at Old Trafford.
