had a sharp retort to Jake Paul’s comment after new footage surfaced of the two exchanging words last week.

The pair, along with Logan Paul, Jake’s older brother, made headlines when ‘The Problem Child’ posted a selfie with the Irishman as they attended ‘s inauguration in Washington DC. Jake captioned the photo humorously: “Inauguration going great.”

However, his expression suggested he wasn’t too thrilled about McGregor’s company. While it seemed there was no tension between the former two-division UFC champion and the Paul brothers, their encounter wasn’t entirely cordial. Following the event, Logan shared a YouTube video titled ‘Face to Face with Conor McGregor’, who appeared enthusiastic about meeting the Pauls. In a clip towards the end of the video, McGregor is seen discussing a potential fight with the brothers on a bus.

“This is the real deal, you know that bro. We’ll do it,” McGregor shouted. He then proposed terms to Logan before taking a jab at Jake, leaving the American stars bewildered. “We can do what? 190, 195lbs? [Jake] was sick. He was sick over it! ” McGregor continued: “Listen, here’s the deal. I’m going to slap the head off the two of you and KSI. You are nixers to me. Do you understand that? Side jobs.”

Recent footage has added fuel to the fire in the ongoing saga between McGregor and the Paul brothers. While previous encounters mostly showed Conor facing off with Logan, this time it was Jake Paul exchanging heated words with him. During their verbal altercation, Jake questioned Conor’s choice of opponent, asking, “Why do you want to fight him? ” referring to Logan. McGregor sharply retorted: “What instead of you? ” Jake then insinuated that a bout with his brother would be an easier match by saying: “It’s an easier fight? “.

Never one to shy away from confrontation, McGregor fired back, dismissively declaring: “It’s a bigger name! ” Jake continued the spat by hinting at his own track record against southpaws, implying that might be why McGregor would rather battle Logan than face him. However, Conor hit back, mentioning Jake’s bout with Nate Diaz, saying, “Nate Diaz, you couldn’t even put him down! Look, you’ve done some good things. You’ve done some alright things.”

The war of words comes among recent speculations suggesting that negotiations are underway for McGregor to fight Logan Paul. On X – the platform formerly known as Twitter – McGregor set the record straight, denying rumours about fighting Ilia Topuria and revealing his plans: “The rumours of a bout with Topuria are false. I am in preliminary agreements with the Ambani family to face Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in India. I have agreed. I will then seek my return to the Octagon.”

McGregor dashed the hopes of fans looking forward to a blockbuster clash with a WWE champion, as he revealed to “The Schmo” that plans have crumbled. “It is what it is. The UFC just aren’t into it. The offer was there on the table, in writing. Both athletes will say, ‘He’s not fighting,’ but both athlete are under the TKO banner. UFC, WWE both rising up. The stock price of TKO Holding Ground (is) through the roof. New market in India opened up and booming. It was business savvy, and business sense to make the fight happen. Or should I say the glorified spar happen.”

While McGregor finds himself in limbo waiting for his return to the octagon, he saw this as an opportune moment scheduling-wise. However, he lamented, “In between this waiting period that we find ourselves in before I can get back to the octagon, it made perfect sense on the calendar to go ahead with it. The UFC weren’t into it. The WWE, I’m not sure what their interest in it was. I just knew the UFC weren’t into it.”
