came down with a bad case of the Monday Blues after she suffered a mortifying bathroom blunder live on air.
During her Monday morning Heart breakfast show (January 27), which she hosts with Jamie Theakston, the 53-year-old broadcaster got stuck in a lift on her way into the London office.
Her mortifying ordeal was documented live on the show as Amanda FaceTimed her co-star from inside the stalled elevator. She branded the hilarious incident an “absolute nightmare” after she made a cheeky dash out of the office during the show for a bathroom break.
It is not known how long Amanda was stuck in the broken lift for, however, the incident made her miss the start of the early morning show.
In her embarrassing call, she told her 54-year-old co-star: “Jamie you are not going to believe this. The lift has literally just stopped.

“I’ve pressed every single button and nothing’s happened and I also need to go to the loo.” The studio immediately burst into laughter as the dad-of-two attempted to reassure her.
He said calmly: “Don’t you worry about anything, you sit tight,” to which she fumed: “Well, I’ve got not choice! It’s a blinking nightmare.”
Later on in the show, Amanda managed to successfully make her way into the studio after finally being freed from the lift. The Britain’s Got Talent judge exclaimed: “Hi, I am here. Oh my God, what an absolute nightmare. So scary!” as she rushed into her seat.
The cast and crew applauded her entrance as she threw on her headphones, while Jamie asked: “Have you used the bathroom because I know that that was a big issue.”

Looking mortified, the mum-of-two reassured listeners: “Yes, God I ran into the loo.” The blonde bombshell’s lift drama comes days after she was left in hysterics after being gifted an unflattering cake of her face.
The dynamic duo was stunned by the ugly personalised baked goods as they welcomed Keith Scovel – known as Kakes By Keith – onto the show.
The baker went viral on when he transformed his cake into a unique impression of Claudia Winkleman, using Tic Tac’s for her teeth.
Amanda and Jamie were the latest stars to receive the Kakes By Keith experience when he gifted them their very own portrait cakes.
