This perfect consistency is not exactly easy to master, but there are tips and tricks aplenty to try and test every time you prepare a new batch of these delicious snacks.

One content creator shared his hack that seems to give great results – despite using a rather unusual item that’s usually thrown away.

“You guys are obsessed with telling be Fray Bentos tins make good Yorkshire puddings, so let’s give it a go,” the TikToker told his 36.7k followers.

Fray Bentos pies are well-known for their convenience, coming in a tin that can be used for cooking them.

Popular varieties include steak and kidney, as well as minced beef and onion, and interestingly, there have been whispers that even Queen Elizabeth II was a fan of these ready-made pies.

Normally, after enjoying the pie, most people would simply recycle or discard the tin. However, it turns out that the tin can be quite useful for another purpose— baking Yorkshire puddings to perfection, as discovered by the user.

“Put the oven on full blast and grab yourself a mixing bowl,” he explained. “Crack two eggs, pour in 100ml of milk and 70g of flour before beating it.

“Grab your sad little tin, fill it with a tablespoon of cooking oil, [and] whack it in the oven until the oil is hot.” [SIC]

Once your oil has heated, be careful removing it from the oven so as not to burn yourself.

“Pour enough batter into just over the bottom before launching it back in the oven for 15 minutes,” the food lover added.

In the video, you can see the Yorkshire pudding rising perfectly inside the tin while acquiring that ideal golden brown colour.

“Well, would you look at that,” said the creator when removing the pudding from the oven. “Crispy on the outside, chewy in the middle.”

The Yorkshire pudding was even deemed “perfect” by some viewers who commented on the clip.

Another person pointed out: “[I] never thought of that but how resourceful.” [SIC]
