See Saquon Barkley’s adorable handshake with 6-year-old daughter before NFC championship

The Philadelphia Eagles might have had a good luck charm headed into the NFC championship game.

Before the highly anticipated Jan. 26 matchup between the Eagles and Washington Commanders, which will decide who secures a spot in the 2025 Super Bowl, Saquon Barkley and his daughter completed their adorable pregame ritual.

Captured on video and shared to social media, the Philadelphia running back and daughter Jada did a special handshake. After clapping hands back and forth, Barkley leaned down to kiss Jada’s cheek, and she returned the gesture. The father-daughter duo then held up peace signs.

In the clip, Barkley turned to his girlfriend, Anna Congdon, while she held their son, Saquon Jr. Barkley taps his forehead against his son’s before kissing Congdon.

He and Jada’s handshake has become a tradition before NFL games.

Sunday’s family moment might have served Barkley well, as he gave the Eagles a strong start with an impressive 60-yard touchdown. Moments later, Barkley scored another touchdown, giving Philadelphia an 11-point lead over the Commanders in the first quarter. The Eagles were up 27-15 going into halftime.

The winner of Sunday’s NFC championship game will head to Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, for the Super Bowl on Feb. 9.
