Pressure is mounting on the BBC to pull a new show starring Strictly’s after he was embroiled in a fresh scandal while on tour.

The Welsh opera singer is about to star in a new show, alongside Joanna Page – All At Sea – which is due to start tomorrow (Monday).

However, footage has emerged from the start of the live tour shows where Wynne delivered a crude remark which was caught on camera. The Wales presenter was allegedly heard referencing a threesome using the derogatory term “spit roast”.

Wynne has since issued an apology and told The Mail on Sunday: “My language was inappropriate and unacceptable, for which I sincerely apologise.”

and Strictly Live producers added: “We have made it clear to Wynne we do not tolerate such behaviour on tour.”

It comes as Wynne announced to fans that he had been working on the new show. Seemingly brushing off the latest controversy, he posted to to share the news.

In what seems to be an attempt to make fans seem all is well, the singer uploaded a promotional clip alongside fellow Welsh star Joanna Page on Sunday.

The Go Compare regular wrote: “Can’t wait for Wynne and Joanna All At Sea coming to BBC1 in January 2025. [Joanna Page] my favourite person ever.”

Wynne also shared a trailer for the new show to his Stories. It showed the co-stars laughing and joking as they explore the Welsh coastline.

But questions are being asked over whether the is right to air the show in light of the incident on tour.

The 52-year-old is no stranger to a scandal as he hit headlines for the wrong reasons while appearing on Strictly. He was forced to issue an apology after an “inside joke” went wrong with professional dancer Katya Jones – with them both sharing a video explaining what had supposedly happened.

Live on air, the dancer was spotted refusing to high-five the singer – sparking rumours of a fallout with fans sharing their concern online. She also looked awkward when he had his hand around her waist live on TV and appeared to object to his positioning as she moved his hand away.

Despite fans demanding the pair clarify exactly what “the joke” was, the pair did not elaborate further and later apologised.

With the latest scandal unfolding, PR experts have warned that the could be forced to “sever ties” with the broadcaster completely.

Brand and culture expert Nick Ede told : “I think the will have to tread very carefully with Wynne as his controversial and lewd comments will soon outweigh his popularity and the won’t tolerate this anymore.

“He [appears to be] hanging on to his position but all eyes will be on him and if he makes another negative move the may have to sever their ties with him.”

Wynne & Joanna: All at Sea is a six-part series and will air on One, One Wales and iPlayer from Monday, January 27 at 8.30pm.
