Edwin van Der Sar has reminded Manchester United that they mustered only one shot on target against Fulham in a brutal reality check. Lisandro Martinez’s long-range strike was deflected in via Cottagers midfielder Sasa Lukic to hand the Red Devils three points in an uneventful game.
Van der Sar told TNT Sports: “The result is nice for the winning manager but I think the performance wasn’t great.
“I think that was the only shot on goal from Lisandro Martinez. You need to stabilise the club, performances you need to have on the Saturday and the Wednesday.”
