BBC fans “switched off” as news presenter interviewed Rachel Reeves. The current Chancellor was invited on to the host’s self-named Sunday show when viewers complained that the chat was “weak”.
Laura asked the politician how the last six months had gone, since Labour were elected into government. Ms Reeves replied saying: “I know we can do so much better.” She added that they are “going further and faster”.
Just minutes into the interview, fans shared that they were “switching off”. Taking to X/Twitter, they shared their complaints.
One wrote: “#BBCLauraK lost total interest after first few minutes, where is the enthusiasm.” Another added: “In order to hold this Labour government to account, they’ve invited on a former Tory MP and failed Chancellor to provide insight and guidanceEvery Tory MP of the last 14 years should be nowhere near political discussion.”
