is facing an uncertain future on the pitch, with his NFL career at a crossroads after his deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars expired.
He by boss Warren Gatland before the , but is expected to stay in America and continue pursuing a dream career in NFL.
The Welsh speedster left his girlfriend back in the UK while he attempted to realise his ambitions of playing American football, before they broke up and Rees-Zammit began dating Stateside.

Split from Saffron Barker
Rees-Zammit made his relationship with YouTuber and star Saffron Barker public after the , attending a film premiere together and sharing a kiss on a night out in Cardiff.
The pair were inseparable and Barker even had her rugby boyfriend’s initials tattooed on her arm, as she beamed with pride when he left for America.
Barker stayed behind in the UK and they said they remained “a strong couple navigating a long-distance relationship”.
But after Rees-Zammit underwent a NFL trial day, Barker released a statement confirming their split: “Hi everyone, I have so much exciting news to update you on and I promise to keep you all posted on that.
“For now though I wanted to address some of the questions regarding my relationship. Whilst I won’t be going into any detail, I am no longer in a relationship.
“I am fully focused on my wellbeing, wonderful family and career. I want to thank all of the incredible people who have sent me messages of love and strength over the past few weeks.”

Days out with swimsuit model
Rees-Zammit shared that he is “open to a relationship” after being spotted on a day out with Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Xandra Pohl
The model and DJ accompanied Rees-Zammit to Worlds of Fun amusement park in Kansas City, where they were pictured screaming next to each other on one of the park’s rollercoasters in May of last year.
Earlier in the week they explored Kansas together on a sightseeing tour of the city, posing with their arms around one another.
Pohl is also a DJ and performed in Ibiza and at Lollapalooza, she was also named as a Sports Illustrated rookie for their Class of 2024, posing in a red swimsuit for the magazine’s 60th anniversary edition.
Dating daughter of legend
Before cosying up with Barker, Rees-Zammit was in a relationship with netball star Alicia Scholes – the daughter of legend Paul Scholes.
The former footballer even tried to convince his daughter’s boyfriend to ditch the Welsh national team before he made his debut.
Scholes posted a picture of Rees-Zammit on in 2020 and captioned it: “The England debut can’t be far off.”
But Rees-Zammit, born in Wales but could have played for England after living there and attending Hartpury College, rejected the offer.
“I used to date his daughter so it was a running joke,” the winger told the . “He always used to try to make me play for England but I wasn’t having any of it.”
