Erling Haaland has known his partner Isabel Haugseng Johansen since his childhood
already lives a life of luxury at after becoming one of their highest-paid stars when arriving in 2022. But his new eye-watering contract will ensure the Norwegian rises to the top of the ‘s highest earners.
The 24-year-old signed a new 9.5-year deal worth £260million, with Haaland becoming the first player in the to be handed a salary of £500,000 a week or higher.
If he sees out his contract at the Etihad Stadium, he will be 34 by the time it expires and will only be behind Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe in terms of his weekly earnings.
The striker isn’t only focusing about his future on the pitch, though. Haaland and his partner, Isabel Haugseng Johansen, 20, welcomed their first child together in December, which only came to light after his manager let the news slip.
“He’s become a father for the first time in the last few days, a lot of emotions and an exciting few days for him,” the Catalan said.
However, the new parents are yet to reveal their child’s name or gender to the wide world as they get to grips with having their own family.
Before beginning their romantic journey, Haaland and Johansen were childhood friends. They both played for the same football club when they were kids in their native Norway, as Haaland joined FK Bryne when he was five.
That’s where he met Isabel, where the pair became childhood friends and played for the club’s academy before becoming involved later on. They are said to have become official after the striker left Salzburg to join Borussia Dortmund in 2020.

But Johansen prefers to keep a low profile after growing up in a humble background in Norway. She works part-time at a fashion store and played football herself at a high level.
Even if Johansen doesn’t have a craving to be in the limelight like some of her fellow WAGs, the couple do enjoy the same luxuries as any footballer earning millions of pounds every year.
Last summer, Haaland and Isabel were spotted on board a luxury private yacht in Italy, while the pair often jet off to his £6m pad in Marbella, Spain, which he purchased in 2022.

If that wasn’t enough, Haaland has splashed out on expensive watches and his prized timepiece is the Rolex Daytona “John Mayer” model, which is described by industry experts as the ‘holy grail’ of modern Rolex pieces.
It features a solid 18ct yellow-gold case and bracelet, with a piercing green dial that is often referred to as the “money dial” or the “John Mayer” dial. It would now fetch around £1m after being discontinued.
Haaland also managed to acquire a Patek Nautilus 5711, one of the brand’s most sought-after models. Indeed, Patek watches usually require a long waiting list to get their hands on a piece, and this particular watch stopped being made in 2021.
Now he’s poised to rake in even more cash, the Norwegian may well be tempted to make even more extravagant purchases to celebrate after signing his new contract.
