Call the Midwife fans have fallen in love with charming medical secretary Miss Millicent Higgins since she arrived on the show in 2018, during series 13. Last year, Miss Higgins took centre stage when her heartbreaking backstory was revealed, and she had an estranged son who was born while living in India.
She had returned to the region when she was 21 following a period there as a young girl, boarding with a widowed friend of her parents in Shimla and working at a library.
That’s where she first met Krishnan Choudhary, but when their son was born, he was sent to live with another family. John became Victor, and Krishnan exited her life forever.
Victor and Miss Higgins reunited, but it was bittersweet as he was suffering due to kidney disease and died with his mum by his side.
Away from the period drama, Georgie, 68, has been starring in popular television shows since the 1990s, with appearances in London’s Burning, Soldier Soldier, Peak Practice, Harry Enfield and Friends and more.
