Call the Midwife is back on BBC One and fans were excited to see a new midwife on screens in last week’s teaser. In the upcoming instalment, Sister Catherine will join the nuns and midwives at Nonnatus House as she begins her training.
Under Nurse Crane’s (Linda Bassett) supervision, Sister Catherine is thrown into the deep end with a difficult case. Meanwhile Dr Turner (Stephen McGann) is taken aback when a mother-of-seven asks for an abortion.
He is also left disappointed by the general lack of interest towards the measles vaccination clinic. All of the main cast will be returning, besides Cyril Robinson (Zephryn Taitte), who left for Jamaica to visit Lucille (Leonie Elliott).
Nancy Corrigan (Meghan Cusack) has also taken a break from Nonnatus House after accepting a new job. Here is all you need to know about the guest stars of episode four.
