As the cast gathered for a photo, Evans was recorded making an inappropriate sexual comment to Janette as she joined the group. He sang out: “Go Compare,” before adding: “Not too close to Jamie.”

Wynne has been forced to take a step back from the tour in Glasgow due to an ankle injury, sharing images of his bruised limb on .

In a heartfelt update on Saturday evening, he expressed optimism about his recovery: “Ankle’s getting a bit better, it was great to be able to sing in Glasgow tonight, even if I couldn’t dance, hopefully back tomorrow. But watch this space, I’ll let you know in the morning. See how the swelling goes down, and all that kind of stuff, thanks for all the lovely messages, amazing.”

During his stint on Strictly, Evans faced criticism after what appeared to be an inappropriate “grope” of his dance partner Katya. The 52 year old Welsh opera singer was seen placing his hand on Katya’s waist before it seemed to inch towards her stomach.

A visibly unimpressed Katya seemed to brush his hand away as they stood together.

While the incident sparked outrage among viewers, with accusations of Evans’s behaviour being inappropriate, the duo dismissed the controversy as a “silly inside joke”.

The furore over the incident became a focal point during their appearance on the spin-off show It Takes Two, where they aimed to address and defuse the situation and issued an apology.
