He shared details of a recent conversation with showrunner Patrick Sean Smith, who goes by Sean, discussing the prospects for Virgin River.
“I just had a conversation with Sean, and obviously, we need to be renewed for season eight, but he’s already thinking toward that,” Hollingsworth disclosed.
The creative team is eagerly awaiting the green light from , yet they’re clearly already brainstorming future plotlines.
However, fans should note that Virgin River’s continuation to season eight isn’t set in stone; despite the show being previously renewed for seasons four and five at the same time in 2021, a similar announcement for seasons six and seven was conspicuously absent.

“As long as it’s engaging and people are wanting to watch more of it and come back, that’s the overall goal,” he shared during an interview with Popternative.
