Ronnie Corbett left behind millions in his will – but just before his death, he put his £1.3million mansion up for sale.
The star died at the age of 85 back in March 2016 after a year-long battle with motor neurone disease (MND) that he kept private.
One half of the Two Ronnies, Corbett left behind a staggering £3.5million to his family in his will. He even gifted some of his estate to his personal assistant.
In the will, his widow Anne and his two daughters – Sophie and Emma – received the majority share of his assets. But Ronnie also donated £5,000 to his godsons George Frost and Sam Parker Bowles. Sam is nephew to Queen Camilla, while George is the son of late broadcasting legend Sir David Frost.
£2,000 was left to Catherine Watson, Ronnie’s PA of more than 20 years, who he branded an “absolute treasure”.

Ronnie Corbett left behind a generous will
Cash legacies totalling £25,000 went to Ronnie’s grandchildren.
But before his death, Ronnie and Anne decided to sell up their £1.3million mansion and move to a bungalow nearby, which was worth just a fraction of that at £250,000.
Ronnie left the majority to his wife and two daughters
Sources close to the couple suggested they sold up so Emma and Sophie wouldn’t have to pay 40% inheritance tax on the property when it was handed down to them.
Sadly, Ronnie’s widow Anne died in November 2023, and left behind £2million of her own assets to her daughters and grandchildren – as well as her sister. Anne’s will wrote off a £790,000 loan to her daughter Sophie, which helped her buy a property in Hove, Sussex.
