Some quarters of the fanbase are worried that it would leave incredibly light of attacking options. But it’s better to clear the bowl of any rotting fruit before it contaminates the rest.
The good sign is that Amorim has spotted his problems early on and must be trusted that this clean-up operation is for the best.
Garnacho has already shown that he can turn on his own manager. He liked a post criticising when he was in charge.
Questions have also been raised over his training ground attitude and professionalism. There is no smoke without fire.
The Argentine has an abundance of talent, but without the right attitude, a career at the top can never be prolonged.
One overhead kick shouldn’t lead to permanent rose-tinted glasses that he has a bright future at Old Trafford.
