Palmer got through the majority of ’s win over Wolves, but did not get a single return as the Blues scored three goals, leaving many to question whether he is still worth £11.3m in FPL.

Boss Maresca confirmed that Palmer’s was improving and he undoubtedly will want to leave his mark on his former employers.

“He’s better,” Maresca said. “He did an unbelievable effort to play against Wolves. He’s getting better.”

William Saliba

Noussair Mazraoui

The England stopper is on his way back, however.

“There’s a chance he’ll be in the squad,” Eddie Howe told a press conference on Friday morning. He’s started training with the group again and it’s great to see Nick back and his presence, the positivity that he brings.

“I’ve seen him do some really good things this week, so yeah, delighted to have him back in the mix.”
