Liza Minelli is back in the studio
The Oscar-winning singer, actress and dancer is making her 22nd album, a collection of duets with her friend and American revivalist crooner Michael Feinstein.
It will be the star’s first new release in 15 years and she has also announced she will publish her memoir next year.
A new documentary about her – Liza: A Truly Terrific Absolutely True Story – is set to be released in the UK later this year.

Being previewed in LA and New York this weekend, it tells how she overcame the 1969 death of her mother, Wizard of Oz legend Judy Garland, to forge her own spectacular career on stage and in movies.
Director Bruce David Klein said: “I think she is still at her best and happiest when she is working.”
And Liza, who won an Oscar for her role as Sally Bowles in Cabaret, reveals on screen: “I love performing and I still take dance lessons.
“I still feel that when I sing to people in a theatre I’m not just giving a performance, I’m sharing my love with each individual person.”
