10. Ian McNeice – Doctor Who
McNeice appeared as Winston Churchill in four episodes of Doctor Who between 2010 and 2011. He had previously played the former Prime Minister in the 2008 Howard Brenton play, Never So Good, and later in the 2012 stage version of The King’s Speech.
9. Rod Taylor – Inglourious Basterds
The late Australian actor Rod Taylor portrayed Winston Churchill in Quentin Tarantino’s 2009 war film. The cameo was short but brilliant and ended up being Rod’s final film role before his death in 2015.
8. Michael Gambon – Churchill’s Secret
Iconic actor Sir Michael Gambon played Churchill in the one-off ITV drama which aired in 2016. The film, based on the book of the same name, saw the Harry Potter star portray Churchill secretly recovering from a stroke during his second tenure as prime minister in 1953.

Brian Cox portrayed the Prime Minister in the hours leading up to D-Day in June 1944. The Succession actor was heavily praised for his convincing performance, but reviewers were less impressed by the overall film.
