Contestants on tend to have one main aim – to win the show and bag a whopping cash prize.
The Claudia Winkleman hosted game show sees 22 strangers come together, with a number of them selected to be Traitors, as the Faithfuls try to figure out who is playing for the other team. While playing, the contestants participate in missions to collect cash for the prize fund.
The prize can be as much as £120,000 as more and more money is added to the grand total ahead of the final, and is split among any winners. But it seems that it’s not only the winner of the show that receives a payment as a former player has now revealed that all contestants who appear will get something.

While he didn’t expand on exactly how much that is, Aaron Evans who appeared on series two previously took to YouTube to explain a bit further.
The Traitors is coming to an end
He shared: “They don’t technically pay you, they subsidise what you would have got for work with the show. It’s roughly like £100 a day. It’s not that much… But it’s definitely worth it.”
That means that if a player is successful enough to make it through all twelve episodes, they could end up with just over £1,200.
It’s no surprise that the show that is shrouded in mystery also remains tight lipped about how much Claudia makes for her hosting duties too.
