Netflix’s The Night Action is back and sees Gabriel Basso’s character, Peter Sutherland, reunite with Rose Larkin (played by Luciane Buchanan) after she manages to locate him. He had disappeared from the scene following the loss of his partner Alice (portrayed by Brittany Snow) during a mission compromised by a mole.
In season two, Rose and Peter join forces with Noor (Arienne Mandi), who is hell-bent on ensuring her family’s safe passage to the US. Concurrently, they are embroiled in a critical mission to thwart a clandestine chemical weapons operation.
The finale takes us back eight years when Solomon’s (Berto Colon) boss Jacob Monroe (Louis Herthum) financed a building under the radar. His refusal to disclose the source of his funds painted him as a dubious character, raising eyebrows.
He began offering assistance to “dig up skeletons” and gather incriminating information on individuals, setting the stage for his future career. Fast forward to the UN building evacuation and Catherine (Amanda Warren) leading the main trio into the danger zone.
Peter and Catherine’s relationship remains strained following Peter’s desertion to meet Solomon’s boss. Meanwhile, Tomas Bala’s (Rob Heaps) cousin Markus (Michael Malarkey) was advancing with the chemical weapon.

Luckily, as the police and Catherine’s team descended on the scene, the enemy gang started falling one by one, with the ‘heroes’ locating all but one of the canisters.
Meanwhile, Markus found himself at Sloane’s (Elise Kibler) residence, issuing threats. However, she cleverly used a universal distress signal, alerting Rose and Peter to his presence in the room.
The last canister was located in the hotel where she had been residing, leaving them with mere minutes to disable the hotel vents before the chemical was dispersed.
As Peter faced off against Markus, Rose snuck up from behind and fired a shot at the window, creating a diversion that allowed Peter to shoot and kill Markus.
With only four minutes on the clock, Peter and Rose had to evacuate everyone quickly. They realised starting a fire would automatically shut off the vents.

They succeeded in halting the chemical leak just in time.
After their triumph, Peter declared his intention to surrender himself and confess everything to Catherine, but not before extracting a promise from Rose.
He expressed his concern that as long as he was associated with Night Action, people would target her to get to him because of his deep affection for her.
Rose confessed her exhaustion from constantly being on the run and her desire for a normal life. Consequently, Peter pleaded with Rose to forget about him for her own safety, and she watched as he left with Catherine.

In another part of town, Solomon’s boss paid a visit to the governor from the opening scene, handing over the file Peter had stolen from the UN.
Noor and her mother were granted asylum in the US, and Rose maintained contact with her after moving back to California following a promotion.
Patrick Knox pulled out of the presidential race due to his involvement in the approval of Foxglove, virtually ensuring Governor Hague’s ascension to presidency.
Catherine tasked Peter with investigating Jacob and his ties to the incoming president. However, before he could proceed, Peter needed to earn Jacob’s trust and was waiting for his call.
