The Masked Singer’s Pufferfish ‘exposed’ as fans are ‘100% certain’ of true identity

ITV’s The Masked Singer UK has returned for its sixth star-studded series, captivating audiences who are eagerly trying to guess the disguised celebrities.

So far, Good Morning Britain’s Kate Garraway and Great British Bake Off’s Prue Leith were revealed as Spag Bol and Pegasus respectively. They were followed by the 90s sensation Macy Gray and T’Pau’s Carol Decker, who turned out to be Toad in the Hole and Tattoo.

As eight characters remain – including Bear, Bush, Dressed Crab, Kingfisher, Pufferfish, Snail, Teeth, and Wolf – the show continues to generate buzz, especially around the enigmatic Pufferfish. A fan recently sparked a frenzy on social media with their claim that they had cracked Pufferfish’s clues, pointing to a West End legend.

Taking to , the viewer confidently asserted: “Pufferfish is Samantha Barks,” adding their rationale: “Let me explain why.

“Firstly, the voice is very similar. Watch her BGT performance of ‘Let It Go’ and you’ll see what I mean – she even got on her knees before whilst performing, which we saw in ‘Good Luck, Babe’ last week.”

Their analysis didn’t stop there: “Next, it has to be said from someone who (I can finally say) has seen Pufferfish live in studio, that she has an incredibly tiny stomach despite wearing a corset. From what I’ve seen, Samantha has the same physique. I’ve also seen pictures of her wearing corsets and everything seems to be near enough an exact match!”

Will this hunch be proven correct? Only time will tell as The Masked Singer UK continues to unravel its mysteries, reports .

The fan further pointed out that Samantha has previously worked with Anita Dobson, which could explain the Angie Watts clue. They also noted that her boots match the colour of her dress from I’d Do Anything – the talent show where she first made her mark.

Moreover, Pufferfish’s recent mentions of Italy might be a nod to Samantha’s wedding in Tuscany in 2022.

Pufferfish made their debut on The Masked Singer stage on January 5, delivering a captivating performance of Chappell Roan’s 2024 summer hit ‘Good Luck, Babe’. The following week, they performed Cyndi Lauper’s classic ‘Girls Just Want to Have Fun’.

The judges have speculated various US celebrities including Hayden Panettiere, Gwen Stefani, Nicole Richie and Lea Michele, but the American accent could be a clever misdirection. Judging by their voice, it may take some time before we discover who is actually behind the mask.
