Nigel Farage has a secret weapon but he must break beyond current appeal
Reform UK’s opportunities keep rising as Labour’s failings intensify. And sadly for the , no one is listening to what the party says after 14 years of failure.
Reform offers a clean sheet. But ‘s party also needs to widen its appeal beyond its current 20-25% to really revolutionise politics and not get trapped in its niche.
Luckily for Farage, Reform’s appeal cuts across both main parties, and in the “vibes” era, authenticity matters.
Farage knows he cannot be tainted by association with the far right, giving his enemies yet more ammunition.
Having stood his ground, the Reform leader can navigate the minefield ahead, as the party looks to cement itself in this year’s local elections.
While Starmer and Badenoch are seemingly MIA, Reform must seize the opportunity to shape the national agenda.
This can be through immigration reform, housing, tax and spend, and much more.
Farage – who has been in DC for President Trump’s inauguration – knows the next few years are his for the taking if he can cast the net of support that little bit wider, building on the work already done.
The risk is the – sick of falling beyond – swap out the leadership and turn the ship around. Ditto Labour.
But until that time, Reform can build upon its post-election foundations to build a new force in British politics.
