Harvey Specter might have some competition coming from the West Coast.
The brand-new “Suits” spin-off series, “Suits LA,” has a new trailer, revealed exclusively on TODAY — and viewers get a peek at the new law firm, more cunning and confident lawyers and a familiar face from the original show.
While “Suits” took place in New York City, “Suits: LA,” premiering Feb. 23 on NBC, heads to the West Coast. It stars Stephen Amell as lawyer Ted Black, a co-founder of the soon-to-be biggest law firm in Los Angeles representing powerful clients in entertainment.
Some familiar faces are in the mix, too: The trailer teases a cameo from “Suits” powerhouse defense attorney Harvey Specter, played by Gabriel Macht.
“The only person I knew cockier than you,” says a character says to Ted in the trailer, referencing Harvey.
“That’s exactly why I liked him,” Ted replies with a smile.
Though Macht appears as Harvey in a photograph in the trailer, the actor teased his character’s reprisal in a November post on Instagram.
The trailer also teases some real actors portraying themselves in the series, such as Patton Oswalt and Brian Baumgartner. Victoria Justice appears as well, but as a movie star named Dylan Pryor.
