After an installation lap, the Brit spoke to his new race engineer Riccardo Adami over the radio and said: “Wow. Whew. It’s a… wow. That was amazing.”

“I think it’s important in life to put positive people around you. You can’t be going around with deadweights, you can’t be going around with people who don’t inspire you to be better and lift you up when you’re down. You need to be around people who can do that for you and she’s one of them.”
With over a thousand people watching on as Hamilton graced the Fiorano circuit, driving the SF-23 from two years ago, the seven-time world champion’s warmth could not be more evident.
Hamilton will begin his first Formula One season as a driver on March 14, when the campaign kicks off in Melbourne for the Australian Grand Prix.
