is gearing up to announce the free games for February 2025, although you’ll have to wait a couple of weeks before you can start playing.

The next batch of free and games will be revealed by Sony at 4.30pm GMT UK time on January 29.

While the announcement takes place next week, the games won’t actually be available until the morning of February 4.

Without any leaks to go by at the time of writing, Daily Express will be back with a list of predictions this weekend.

The good news is that subscribers still have plenty of time to download and install the current batch of .

The current PlayStation Plus line-up is headlined by live service superhero game Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League.

Despite only launching last year, Kill the Justice League was something of a flop, earning mediocre reviews and suffering from a lack of players.

Sony explains more: “Take down The Justice League yourself in single-player or team up with friends in multiplayer co-op in this genre-defying, action-adventure third-person shooter from Rocksteady Studios, creators of the critically acclaimed Batman: Arkham series.

“Featuring an original narrative set within an expansive open-world city of Metropolis, the game puts the four DC Super-Villains on a collision course with an invading alien force and DC Super Heroes who are now laser-focused on destroying the city they once vowed to protect.”

Despite poor implementation of its live service elements, and a somewhat repetitive combat scheme, Kill the Justice League does have some positives.

The navigation system can be quite fun, and the narrative isn’t too bad. It’s certainly worth playing through the story and then maybe moving on to something else.

The January 2025 PS Plus Essentials also include excellent open-world racing game Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered.

Taking place in a stunning cityscape, players take control of street racers and the cops out to stop them.

The third and final game in the Essentials line-up is The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe.

The award-winning narrative adventure is described as an “expanded re-imagining of the 2013 release.

It contains a host of new endings, new choices and a ton of new secrets, giving it enormous replay value.

Needless to say, the visuals have also been given an upgrade, alongside new features and accessibility options.
