Two injured in crash after driver fails to stop for police in Mission

Two people are in hospital after a driver, who failed to stop for police in Mission early Friday, crashed into another vehicle.
Abbotsford police say the collision happened on Mission Bridge at 12:30 a.m.
Earlier, Abbotsford police officers attempted to stop a car for a violation. The driver of the Mustang did not comply and fled the attempted traffic stop, police said.
Shortly after, the driver travelled southbound in the northbound lanes of Highway 11 and collided head on with a northbound civilian vehicle.
Both drivers were taken to hospital.
All lanes on Highway 11 were closed but have since reopened.
One person in hospital after “serious incident” in Kelowna
Kelowna RCMP and the Southeast District Emergency Response Team responded early Friday morning to a report of a serious incident.
RCMP did not provide any details about what happened, except to say it happened in the 700-block of Saucier Avenue at around 4:15 a.m. and that one person was taken to hospital.
Police have taped off an area on Saucier Avenue.
