‘Vanderpump Rules’ stars Ally Lewber and James Kennedy break up after his arrest on suspicion of domestic violence

Vanderpump Rules” star James Kennedy and girlfriend Ally Lewber have broken up following his arrest and an investigation into a suspected domestic violence incident.

Lewber posted that the pair were no longer together in an Instagram Story on Wednesday, adding that she has been “shocked” by how headlines portrayed the recent incident between them.

Kennedy was arrested in December on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic violence after police were called to Kennedy’s home in Burbank, California.

A police log said that Kennedy was arrested at 11:50 p.m. that night after a woman told officers that “her boyfriend lifted her up and threw her to the ground.”

Lewber thanked fans for their support, but said that she was not interested in pursuing a criminal case against Kennedy.

“I am happy that prosecutors decided not to file against James, as I never desired criminal charges,” Lewber wrote. “We had an argument outside of his home related to him drinking again, however, I was not physically hurt.”

Scott Leemon and Leonard Levine, attorneys for Kennedy, also told NBC News last month that there were no injuries in the incident. Kennedy’s representatives did not immediately return a request for comment on Lewber’s statement.

Lewber also said that she would always support Kennedy and wished him the best in his sobriety journey.

Kennedy, who was a longstanding member of the “Vanderpump Rules” reality show, has been open about his struggles with alcohol on his social media and on the series.

In 2020, Kennedy shared on Instagram that he was celebrating one-year sober

“Letting go of drinking was the best decision I ever made and I’m going strong,” he wrote. “I don’t miss the booze…… I don’t miss the feeling …. I’m so grateful for everything now and life has become more beautiful in many ways.”

It was announced last year that “Vanderpump Rules” would return for a new season, but rebooted, meaning that Kennedy and his fellow cast members would no longer be on the show. Lewber told US Weekly at the time that Kennedy was “grieving and just feeling emotions” over the news.
