UK snow latest – where in Britain won’t get any snow as country blitzed this weekend

This weekend, Brits could see snow blasted in several areas, which are to be hit by wintery again.

The latest maps from WXCHARTS show that snow will make its way to the UK as soon as Friday.

The maps show that by 3am, Scotland and parts of northern England will see snow while the rest of the instead.

Up to 2cm of snow will fall in these areas while the Midlands and the south will see heavy rainfall.

Wales will see the most rainfall with around 5mm per hour which stretches as far down as Plymouth.

Around Newcastle, Manchester and Birmingham, rain will fall at between 0.6-2mm per hour.

On Saturday at 6am, will continue mostly in the north of England and up towards Scotland while most of the south will be unaffected.

Moving into Sunday at 9am, the most snow of the weekend is with most of Scotland to be hit along with the Lake District, Manchester and north Wales also seeing some snow.

In Scotland some areas will see as much as 25cm of snowfall while England will see a maximum of 5cm in affected areas. Wales could see up to 10cm of snow.

By 9pm on Sunday, the east coast of England will be heavily hit by rainfall with between 0.6 and 2mm per hour expected along the coast.

A forecast from the says: “Storm Éowyn will bring wet and very windy weather on Friday, with some disruption likely, especially across Northern Ireland, northern England and north Wales. Snow expected across Scotland also.”

It adds: “Storm Éowyn still causing impacts through Saturday morning in the north, but brighter with some showers buy the afternoon, and winds easing. Further wet and windy weather Sunday.”
